Your business will need to have all of the legal basics in order to qualify for funding opportunities including state incorporation, a business address, business banking, and an established system of accounting.

This is your organizations annual roadmap for reaching your goals, increasing support from the community, and being impactful in the community. 

Funders look at your organizations annual budget to determine your financial capabilities. A healthy budget shows positive cash flow and the ability to generate revenue to cover all expenses independent of a grant award.  Funders like to know that your organization has the ability to generate the cash flow necessary to meet your operational expenses and debt repayments on your own. 

These are funds that don't have stipulations for their use, and include funding from individual donors, cooperate sponsorships, foundations gifts, and revenue from the sale of goods/services. 

A professional website proves your legitimacy, and social media presence allows your potential funders and supporters to see who you really are, and what your impact is in the community is.
